We went camping for the weekend in our 28′ travel trailer to Southampton Ontario which is on the south shores of lake Huron. This is the place we would like to retire, downsize so to speak. It’s a nice quiet sleepy town about 2 1/2 hours North West of where we currently live.

We did an awesome bike ride from Southampton to Port Elgin which is about 15 minutes by car. The trial follows the shore of the lake and have wonderful views. The air is fresh and clean. The pace of life is so much quieter than the hustle bustle of Burlington. Southampton is about a 20 minute drive south of Sauble beach. The town is split into two by the Saugeen River which winds it’s way into the great lake Huron. We decided to take a boat ride to Chantry Island but there was a search and rescue on and the coast guard had commandeered the boat for their mission. We’ll have to go back to try that again! Again I had my trusty Medium Format Mamiya RZ67 film camera with me. This time I had a roll of Kodak Ektar 100 120 film.
