Leanne Surfleet is a UK based analog photographer that primarily uses instant film cameras with Polaroid and expired films.
Leanne focuses on self portraits creating many sombre moods with each photograph describing her personality perfectly. Leanne never uses artificial light preferring to use available natural light. This natural light combined with the Polaroid cameras helps maintain that moody feeling each photograph possess. Leanne mainly uses the Polaroid 450 and SX-70 instant cameras both bringing their own imperfections. These cameras combined with the anaolog instant film ultimately help create Leanne’s unique art. You can see on her photographs that Leanne doesn’t go for the clean perfect shot, the dust is still visible and becomes part of the image. You can help support this artist by purchasing some of her art work, Leanne has prints for sale on her website. You can also follow Leanne’s photography on Instagram.
